Forming of Tubes and
Rivets DIN 7340

Manufacturing with automatic lathes

Rivets DIN 7340

Rivets are types of fasteners used to permanently join materials, especially in applications where mechanical strength is required. At TYRSA we can manufacture DIN 7340 rivets (from tube) with flat head or flanged head, in the measurements required by the client.

Tubes

Starting from preformed bars, we can manufacture tubes precisely and efficiently, with exact dimensions and high-quality surface finishes. Tubes formed in this way find application in various industries, from automotive to construction, due to their dimensional precision and structural strength.

Specific design

Automatic lathes, although commonly associated with the manufacture of standard cylindrical parts, can also be used to produce parts with special shapes and more complex geometries. Custom cutting tools can be used, such as special drill bits, milling cutters, turning tools, or threading tools.

  • What is metal stamping?
Metal stamping is a manufacturing process that uses tools and presses to transform sheet metal into three-dimensional parts through cutting, bending, drawing, and other operations.
  • What are the common types of metal stamping?
Metal stamping can be hot or cold. At TYRSA we use the cold stamping system with mechanical presses. The most common types of cold stamping are: simple stamping (with a single stroke of the press), progressive stamping (multiple sequential operations on a sheet), and double-acting or coaxial stamping.
  • What industries is metal stamping used in?
Stamping is applied in industries such as automotive, electronics, household appliances, among others, but we can find stamping parts in any industrial sector, for example in engines, car components, carpentry, electronic circuits...
  • What are the advantages of metal stamping?
It offers high precision, fast production, lower costs at high volumes, the ability to work with various materials and the ability to create complex shapes.
  • What materials can be stamped?
A wide variety of metals can be stamped, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper (both DHP and ETP), brass, bronzes, nickel silver, beryllium alloys and other specialty alloys depending on the properties required for the final part. In addition, other materials such as plastics, fiber, polypropylene or nylon can also be printed. We can also work with tapes that have previous electrolytic coatings, either completely or selectively.
  • What is the difference between stamping and die cutting?
Die cutting is a more general term that includes the stamping process, but can also refer to specific cutting or punching operations without necessarily forming the part.
  • What is the useful life of a stamping die?
Lifespan can vary depending on material, die design, and usage, but well-maintained dies can produce thousands or even millions of parts before requiring replacement or significant maintenance.
  • How to select the right stamping process for a specific project?
It depends on the complexity of the part, the quantity required, material selection and precision specifications. Consulting stamping experts is crucial to making the best decision.
  • What is the typical production time in metal stamping?
Time may vary depending on the complexity of the piece, the type of stamping and the quantity. However, stamping is typically faster at high volumes compared to other manufacturing methods.
